The Police Federation of Australia (PFA) is the national body that brings together members of the eight state, territory, and federal police associations and unions across the country. With over 65,000 members, the PFA required an easy-to-use web-based application to compare and contrast industrial agreements between jurisdictions on crucial conditions such as leave and pay. This tool would empower industrial officers to better represent their members during negotiations with State and Territory Governments.
The existing system was outdated, difficult to use, and expensive to modify, necessitating a more efficient and user-friendly solution.
OSKY, having a long-standing relationship with the PFA and supporting many of their websites and applications, was the natural choice for this project. Our approach involved:
OSKY continues to strengthen our relationship with the PFA by not only supporting their public-facing online presence but also by enhancing their internal operations. The Industrial Planning Tool helps PFA staff provide better outcomes for police across Australia and New Zealand more efficiently through a custom-built online tool.
“The Industrial Planning Tool developed by OSKY has revolutionised our ability to compare and manage industrial agreements across jurisdictions. It is an invaluable resource that helps us better serve our members and negotiate effectively with state and territory governments.”
– Maree McGuane, Office Manager at PFA.
The Industrial Planning Tool is a living application that OSKY is proud to support in partnership with the Police Federation, showcasing the enhanced productivity and service provided through true digital transformation.
