Joining the movement towards ending world poverty, injustice and inequality
For the first time, the international development networks of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific joined hands to hold an Oceania Connect Regional Conference on fulfilling the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
Hosted by The Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), the Council for International Development (CID) in New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands Association of NGOs (PIANGO) Oceania Connect connected participants across the region in doing business differently to achieve the SDGs 2030.
As a proud sponsor of the conference, OSKY offered grant applications to delegates at the Oceania Connect to develop User Experience (UX) Design strategies to share their amazing stories of life-changing work and projects that are being carried out around the Pacific region.
The response was overwhelming as OSKY received applications from delegates across the region depicting why they require UX Design overhaul on their respective digital platforms. After five days of deliberations, the jury decided to announce Oxfam New Zealand as the successful applicant. As a result, OSKY will be embarking on a UX overhaul project with Oxfam New Zealand to help elicit the Maori values of manaakitanga (connectedness), tika (justice) and kaha (courage) through its digital presence online.
OSKY is very excited to work with Oxfam and we look forward to helping them make a difference to the world.
